Сара Кей изображает романтичную и наивную вселенную: детство, заполненное счастьем, сладостью и нежностью. Её рисунки касаются всех предметов детской любви: дружбы, природы, животных, игр...

 

 

 

Выпускница школы искусств, Сара Кей начала свою карьеру, работая для рекламного агентства в Австралии. Когда её дочь сильно заболела, Сара Кей нуждалась в том, чтобы развлечь её. Она начала рисовать счастливых детей, находящихся в спокойных и естественных условиях, которые были воспоминаниями её собственного детства, проведённого на ферме её родных бабушек и дедушек.

Когда её первые 20 рисунков были готовы, Сара Кей предложила их одному из самых больших австралийских издателей открыток. Успех Сары Кей начался тут же. Её открытки распространились очень быстро во всем мире, особенно в Европе. Скоро рисунки Сары переросли сферу поздравительных открыток. В начале 80-ых много продуктов Сары Кей появилось на рынке: книги, куклы, загадки, постельное белье, сервировка стола.

Несмотря на большой успех, Сара Кей остаётся скромной и сдержанной и в своей карьере и в жизни. Она осторожна по своей природе; она избегает рекламы и интервью, и работает в предельной тайне.
